It stays in the room. Open the same URL next week and last week’s shapes, equations, and notes are exactly where you left them. Each room has multiple pages, so you can keep notes per chapter or topic.

Create a room from your dashboard and share its link with your student however you like — text, email, WhatsApp. They open it, create a free student account (or sign in if they already have one), and you admit them into the room. We never ask you for a student’s email or send anything on your behalf — the room URL stays the same forever, so it’s one link per student, not one per session.

Yes. The room supports more than one student at a time. Today, the dashboard pairs you 1-to-1 per room; if you want a small-group setup, email us at hello@lumenboard.net and we’ll help.

Recordings always happen. AI lesson notes are opt-in by the people they’re about: a student turns them on per room and a parent per child, independently — they’re off by default and the teacher doesn’t control them. When they’re on, a recorded session becomes a timestamped transcript and a set of lesson notes (a summary, the topics covered, and what to work on next). Students can also search their notes and ask questions about a session; parents and teachers get a read-only copy. Lesson data is never used to train models.

We don’t sell student data. We don’t use lesson data to train models. We don’t show ads. You can delete a room and its message history at any time. Full privacy policy is in the works.

Yes. Monthly plans cancel at the end of the current month. If you ever pay annually, you keep access through the period you paid for.

No. LumenBoard runs in the browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge. They follow the link, allow camera + mic, and they’re in.

No app to install. The room runs right in the browser and is responsive down to mobile — it adapts to desktop, tablet, and phone. Most tutors teach from a laptop or tablet, but students can join from a phone in a pinch.
